PIC MICROCONTROLLERS An Introduction to
Microelectronics (Third Edition) (Published October 2011) The latest edition of the first
book in this series is fully revised and updated to reflect the ongoing
development of the PIC microcontroller range. Sticking with the well-known
16F84A initially to introduce the basic concepts, it goes on to use the 16F690
and 16F887 in a variety of applications, concluding with a comparison of the
full range of 16F PIC MCUs and a wider of control technologies. This edition
is supported with numerous working demo programs, which can be run and
modified in the Microchip IDE MPLAB. These examples have been developed and
tested in Proteus VSM interactive development environment and the demo
programs are supplied with the full set of design files (see link right). |

PROGRAMMING 8-BIT PIC MICROCONTROLLERS IN C with Interactive Hardware
Simulation The third book in this series is an introduction to programming microcontrollers in high level language using CCS C, illustrated by fully interactive circuit simulation using Proteus VSM. Includes a full hardware description and demo C programs for the PICDEM Mechatronics board, featuring temperature control, and dc and stepper motor applications. |

INTERFACING PIC MICROCONTROLLERS Embedded Design by
Interactive Simulation The
second book in this series is a comprehensive guide to interfacing
microcontrollers based on the I/O devices of the PIC 16F877 chip, including
keypads, displays, analogue, timers and a full range of serial peripherals.
Each interface is explained in detail by means of fully operational,
interactive demonstration application using Proteus VSM design and
simulation. |

PIC MICROCONTROLLERS An Introduction to
Microelectronics Second Edition The
first book in this series assumes little prior knowledge of microelectronics,
and introduces microcontroller-based circuits using the popular PIC 16F84A
chip. It covers the basic concepts of digital hardware, microcontroller
architecture, programming, interfacing and application design in assembly
language. |

MESSAGES FROM THE AUTHOR |
Hello Readers The Programming and
Interfacing books focus on the PIC 16F877A chip, which has now been
superseded by the 16F887. Please substitute this in hardware implementations
based on the designs in this book. The main difference is that it has an
internal clock (default frequency 4MHz), so the external clock components
can be omitted. Otherwise it is functionally very similar. If you have found these
books useful, please post a review on Amazon. Thanks!! Best wishes Martin |
